Gear Cutting Tools

Gear Cutting Tools
Gear Cutting Tools a metal-cutting tool for machining gears and ratchets, shafts, and other  parts. Depending on the cutting, face-and-side cutters and gear-cutting heads are using in the forming method. Gear-cutting dies hob cutters, slitter rams, tooth planers, and cutter heads.

Gear cutting tools are the process of creating a gear. And the most common processes include hobbling, machining, and broaching and the other processes are including casting, shaping and powder metallurgy. Gears are commonly made from wood plastic and metal.

Broaching

For very large gears a vertical broach is used. It’s consists vertical rail that carries a single tooth cutter and used to create the tooth shape. A Y axis is the customary axes are available. Some machines cut to a depth on the Y axis. The largest gears are produced on these machines.

Other operations like broaching works particularly well for cutting teeth inside.. Therefore it is mostly used in high production runs.
